About VPN Guide Pro
VPN Guide Pro was founded by a group of privacy enthusiasts, technologists and journalists who believe that digital freedom should be accessible to everyone. With governments and corporations increasingly surveilling online activity, a trustworthy VPN is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide independent, transparent and up‑to‑date information about virtual private networks. We invest countless hours into hands‑on testing, reading audit reports and analysing company policies so that you don’t have to. We strive to empower you with reliable data to make informed decisions about your privacy and security.
How We Review
We evaluate VPNs based on several pillars:
- Performance: We run repeatable speed tests using servers around the world to determine average download and upload speeds.
- Privacy: We examine jurisdiction, ownership, no‑logs policies, independent audit results and infrastructure such as RAM‑only servers.
- Streaming & Use Case: We test each service with popular streaming platforms and everyday tasks, like gaming and torrenting.
- Price & Value: We look at long‑term cost, device limits and refund policies to judge value for money.
To maintain our independence, we never allow providers to pay for a higher ranking or editorial content. We do, however, participate in affiliate programs (clearly labelled throughout the site). This means we may earn a small commission when you purchase a subscription through our links. These earnings keep the lights on and fund further testing. Your support enables us to remain independent and unbiased.
Meet the Team
Our core team comprises security researchers, network engineers and tech writers with decades of combined experience. We’ve worked at security consultancies, internet service providers and online publications. When we’re not testing VPNs, you’ll find us discussing the latest privacy legislation, experimenting with self‑hosted tools or hiking in the mountains.
